Let's Collaborate
We are the Shopify development team behind agencies, design studios and consultants. Your client, your relationship, your invoice. We stay invisible.
- White-label as standard
- We never approach your clients
- NDA before anything is shared
If you have Shopify clients and no Shopify developers, you have three options: turn the work down, subcontract to someone who might pitch your client directly, or hire for a skill you cannot keep busy. This is the fourth.
Who this is for
The partners we work with, and what they need
Different partners need different things from us. These are the arrangements we already run.
| Who you are | What we do |
|---|---|
| A design studio with Shopify clients | You design, we build. You keep the client relationship and present the work as yours. |
| A marketing agency asked for development | We become your development capability without you carrying a technical salary through quiet months. |
| A Shopify agency at capacity | Overflow. We work to your standards, in your repositories, through your review process. |
| A consultant who needs implementation | You advise, we execute. Common with fractional CTOs and ecommerce consultants. |
| An agency without app development | Theme work is common; app development is rarer. We take the app projects you would otherwise decline. |
| A brand's in-house team, short-handed | Augmentation inside your team, your tooling and your process. |
What we take on
Everything we do for direct clients, delivered under your brand instead of ours.
How we work with partners
The terms, stated plainly
Most of this exists because someone was burned by a subcontractor before they found us.
- We never approach your clientsNot during the project, not after it. This is contractual, not a courtesy, and it is the reason partners refer us to other agencies.
- Fully white-labelYour brand on the work. We join client calls as your team if you want us there, or stay entirely behind you if you do not.
- NDA before anything is sharedSigned before you send us a brief, not after.
- Partner ratesBelow our direct client rate, because you carry the sales, the account management and the client relationship.
- We work in your repositoriesYour branching model, your review process, your standards. Yours win — you maintain it afterwards.
- Written scopes you can forwardOur estimates are written to be passed to your client with your margin applied. No internal language to strip out.
- We tell you when to say noIf a client is asking for the wrong thing, you hear it from us first, privately, before you have quoted it.
- Long-term or one projectSome partners send one app a year. Others use us as their whole development team. Both are fine.
How a partnership starts
From first conversation to first project
Deliberately light. Most partnerships begin with one small project rather than a framework agreement.
- An introductory callWhat you do, what you keep in-house, and where the gap is. No pitch — we are working out whether we are useful to each other.
- NDA and termsSigned before any client detail is shared. Non-solicitation is in there as standard.
- A first projectIdeally something small and defined. Both sides learn how the other works before anything large depends on it.
- A working rhythmA shared channel, agreed response times and a named engineer. You get a person, not a queue.
- Scale or stopSome partners grow into a retained team. Others stay occasional. Neither needs renegotiating.
What we work in
What we bring to your projects
The same stack we use on our own published apps. Nothing experimental on a client's store.
Admin GraphQL, Liquid, theme app extensions
We work against the current API version and the current extension model. That matters more than it sounds — script tags stop running in March 2027, and apps still using them are on borrowed time.
- Admin GraphQL
- Storefront API
- Liquid
- Theme App Extensions
- Metafields
- Metaobjects
- Webhooks
- Shopify Functions
- extensions/my-app/blocks/widget.liquid01
- app/routes/webhooks.orders.paid.jsx02
- sections/product-bundle.liquid03
- app/backend/graphql/themeFiles.js04
Remix, React Router, React
Shopify's own app frameworks, with Polaris and App Bridge so an embedded app behaves like part of the admin rather than a website in an iframe.
const { admin } = await authenticate.admin(request);PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Prisma
Relational where the shape is stable, document where it evolves. Sessions always through Shopify's supported adapter.
await prisma.session.findUnique({ where: { shop } });Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind
For headless storefronts and custom applications around Shopify. Typed, because a runtime error in checkout is expensive.
export const revalidate = 3600;Partner questions
- No. It is in the agreement as a non-solicitation clause, and it applies during the engagement and after it. We would rather have twenty agencies sending us work for years than win one client once.
- Yes, as part of your team, with your email address if that helps. Some partners want us in technical calls and absent from commercial ones. Some keep us entirely behind the scenes. Your call, and you can change it per client.
- Below our direct rate, because you are carrying the sales cost, the account management and the client relationship. Exact rates depend on volume and engagement type, and we will give you a number you can build a margin on.
- Written so you can pass them to your client with your markup applied. Scope, timeline, assumptions and exclusions, with no internal notes to strip out.
- We refer them back to you. This has come up, and the answer has never changed.
- Yes, and we prefer it. Your branching model, your review requirements, your CI. If your standards differ from ours, yours win — it is your codebase to maintain.
- Yes. A day of work is a reasonable place to start a partnership, and it tells both of us more than a long proposal would.
- We tell you early and in writing, before it becomes visible to your client. The worst outcome in a white-label arrangement is a partner finding out from their own client that something has slipped.
Want to talk?
Tell us what you do and where the gap is. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and point you somewhere better.

Collaborate with HelloDevs
Tell us about your agency and where you need development capacity. NDA before anything confidential is shared.
